Tomas Fajarado

Received a B.S. degree in Recreation Management from Cal State Northridge in 2005 and a M.A. degree in Public Administration at the completion of the 2006/2007 fall/winter semester.   In the discus, won the 2004 Big West Conference title and was 2005 NCAA West Regional Champion en route to placing 12th at NCAA Championships.  In 2007, he completed his collegiate eligibility with a PR 58’11” in the shot put at the Big West indoor Championships before joining the VS Athletics Track Club to be coached by VSA Assistant Coach, Nick Garcia—who is also a graduate of CSUN.   Outdoors, he PR’ed by almost 2-feet in the shot en route to setting a new club record of  60’ 7¼” and won silver in the shot and bronze in the discus at the 2007 USATF National Club Championships.  Tomas has athletic goals of qualifying for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in both the shot and discus. He has a passion for helping kids and his professional goal is to with children in a recreation or educational environment.
