TEAM ROSTER Genevieve Graff-Ermeling
Recently completed research for her M.A. degree in Education. As a high school athlete, placed 2nd in the 800m and 3rd in the 1600 at the 1989 Colorado State Meet. After taking 8-years off from training to work as a missionary in Japan, she returned to the U.S. and attended Concordia University in Irvine where she won NAIA All-America honors 6-times in track & field and twice in cross country while also playing point guard on the basketball team !! On the track, she won the 2002 NAIA title indoors and outdoors at 5000 meters and was runner-up in the indoor mile and outdoor 1500m. In 2004, she qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in both the 5000 meters and 1500 meters, but her 2005 and 2006 track seasons were hampered by injuries. After joining the VS Athletics Track Club, in 2007 she ran her fastest times since 2004 in the 800 (2:10.30), 1500 (4:24.35), and 5000m (16:50.09) and a PR in the 3000m (9:29.31). Genevieve’s athletic goal is to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Trials. Her professional goal is to work in the health & fitness field and perhaps teach and/or coach.
