CASEY KRAYCHIR
Ranked #3 on the 2007 U.S. prep list with the women’s 20-pound weight while just a freshman at Twenty-nine Palms High School.  Her throw, 54’2”, was 19-inches further than the current national freshman girls record, but didn’t count because it was thrown outdoors.  Throwing the women’s 4kg hammer, she broke the National High School Freshman Record at the Mt. SAC Relays with a toss of 170’ 2” (51.88m), placing 6th in the field of 27 collegian and open women hammer throwers.  3-weeks later at the Claremont Classic, she raised the record to 173’ 4” (52.84m) while placing placed 3rd—ahead of all the collegiate women in the field.  Placed 4th at the 2007 USATF National Club Championships and ended the 2007 season ranked #3 on the U.S. High School Performance List.

KATIE KRAYCHIR
Just an 8th grader, threw the indoor 25 lb. weight even further than her older sister Casey—57’0” (17.37m)--#2  on the 2007 H.S. Performance List and the furthest toss ever recorded by an 8th grader.  Outdoors, she threw the Women’s 4Kg ball 159’ 10” (48.72m), #10 on the U.S. Prep Hammer List and placed 2nd at the USATF National Club Championships—becoming the youngest athlete ever to score in those Championships.

TRENT KRAYCHIR
Just completed his junior year at Twenty-nine Palms High School ranking #5 on the 2007 National H.S. Performance List, and #17 All-Time, with a PR 224’6” throw in his final meet of the season on July 28 in San Jose.  With the 16 lb. international hammer, Trent threw 176’ 10” (#7 on the 2007 U.S. HS list) with the international 16 lb. ball and 69’ 3 ¼” (#10 on the 2007 U.S. List) with the indoor 25lb. weight. In 2008, he will be the leading returning high school hammer thrower in the nation.  After college, Trent intends to attend law school and has interned with the District Attorney’s office in Reno, NV, and with the State Attorney’s office in Chicago.

TREVOR KRAYCHIR
After completing his senior year at Twenty-nine Palms High School, will be attending Boise State on a full scholarship this fall.  In 2007, threw 194’ 3” with the international 16 lb. ball—#3 on the 2007 U.S. High School List and the 9th furthest toss ever by a high school athlete—after winning the Nike H.S. Indoor Nationals in the 25lb. Weight Throw with a mark of 81’4”  that ranks #4 on the High School All-Time List.   Finished his stellar high school career also ranking #5 All-Time in the 35 lb. weight throw at 60’ 11” and #16 in the 12 lb. h.s. hammer at 226’4”.  Another 2007 highlight was placing 3rd in the USATF West Regional Championships and 6th at the USATF National Club Championships—the youngest scorer in the field.  An outstanding student, Trevor plans to eventually attend medical school and become a cardiologist.
