TEAM ROSTER

Matt McKeehan

Currently completing his first novel. In 2000 while attending Foothill High School in Santa Ana, he set the Orange Country Frosh/Soph Mile record of 4:23.8, which still stands. In 2004 while at Santa Ana College, he set the Mt. SAC 4-Mile JUCO cross country course record of 20:35—which also still stands. “Like a lot of post-collegian distance runners, Matt has not been training to exploit his strengths, shore up his weaknesses, or even racing at his best distances, says VSA Distance Coach and Club Director, Skip Stolley. We’re looking forward to seeing him realize the potential he showed as a younger athlete and establish himself among the sport’s elite runners. Matt’s professional goal is to be a writer. His athletic goals are to qualify for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials and make a USA Team.
