Nick Petrucci

A world-class discus thrower with Olympic medal potential.  Grew up in Flagstaff, AZ and graduated with a degree in Spanish from nearby Northern Arizona University, where he won 4 Big Sky Conference discus titles and placed 3rd in the NCAA Championships. In addition to twice winning All-America honors in track & field, he was also a 2-time All-Big Sky Conference selection in football at defensive end.  Has ranked among the top-8 discus throwers in America for 4 of the past 5-years.  Was a member of USA Teams selected for the 2001 World University Games in Beijing, China, the 2003 World Championships in Paris, and the 2007 NACAC Championships in San Salvador, El Salvador, where he won gold.  Nick resides in Claremont, CA and is coached by VSA Throws Coach, Tony Ciarelli.  His professional goal is to become a firefighter. His athletic goal is to win an Olympic medal in the discus where his current PR is 217’ 8”.
